Orania leaders laud Malema’s fine mind, healthy attitude to women and race

ORANIA. The leaders of the whites-only enclave of Orania in the Northern Cape have lauded ANC Youth League president Julius Malema for his clear thinking on race and gender issues, saying that they and Malema have much in common, including a love of the South African soil, a passionate devotion to the well-being of their people, and an IQ of roughly 55.

Malema’s aides say he had not intended to visit Orania on the weekend, but had arrived there by accident after trying to instruct his GPS navigation system to take him to the Oranje Minimart in Hillbrow where he wanted to buy a packet of Nik Naks.

According to friend and bodyguard Stalin Romotswe, Malema began to suspect that he had made an error after about five hours, when he saw the skeleton of a camel protruding from a sand dune.

However Malema had refused to turn back, saying that ANC pioneers never admitted an error, even if it meant wasting huge amounts of time and money.

Malema’s arrival in Orania reportedly caused a sensation, as many residents had not previously known that black people were allowed to drive cars.

However once traditional gifts such as copper beads and animal pelts had been exchanged, residents said they found Malema to be a “deep thinker on important issues”.

“We see eye to eye on so many things,” said Orania spokesman Abraham Bittereinder.

“For example his views on gender are very refreshing, and suggest that government isn’t just rolling over to the insane demands of the barren and man-hating career women and their homosexual toadies.”

He also said that Malema’s views on race were virtually identical to those of Orania, with a strong emphasis on the importance of race in everyday life.

“Mr Malema also represents an increasingly insular African tribe,” he said. “Both our tribes see persecution everywhere, and we both base our nationalist claims on the Bible and a concept called ‘freedom’ which is never accurately defined so that we can manipulate it as we see fit.”

He added that he “probably shouldn’t have said that last bit”, but said that making “stupidly revealing comments” was another trait shared by both Malema and the Orania community.

Meanwhile Malema was reportedly impressed by the residents’ woodworking skills.

With a small economy and limited access to raw materials, Orania relies heavily on traditional woodworking, and along with wooden furniture and wooden transportation such as donkey-drawn wheelbarrows, many townsfolk sport wooden legs, wooden dentures and wooden heads.
